How do you sell online? How to make your site sell?

Do you understand what I mean? There are few ways to attract visitors to visit your website. If you are the owner of a retail shop, do you want to get new visitors or repeat customers everyday?

New or repeat visitors to a retail shop, which one is better?

My answer is BOTH! Of course it will be nice to get new and repeat visitors to visit our store. BUT, how do we attract them to come to visit our store?

In offline business, definitely is something to do with offline marketing…then how about online marketing?

What is the purpose of people using the Internet? There is only one answer: LOOKING FOR INFORMATION. If someone come to your website, there is not much information provided then they will leave with just a click of “back“.

How to attract website visitor?

This is my sharing to you all. The best way to attract visitors is quality content. With quality contents and updated contents, people will come over to visit your website again and again.

If you surf over the net, there are literally thousand of people VOTE for adding Quality Contents. Not only you need to have quality contents, but keep on updating those contents.

Quality contents can get more sales?

Definitely! If you were the customer, ask yourself few questions:

• Why you surf that particular website?
• Why you buy from them online?
• Why you keep on visiting that website?
• Why you recommend it to your friends?
• Why you forward the website to your friends?
• Why don’t you buy from other people instead of that website?

If you think back, you will get the clue.

How to automatically make your site sell?

Ok…lets begin from scratch.

1. Build Quality Contents - Why people want to visit your website? Because you have the information they need. You give them what they want. People just want more and more information. The best way to keep them to visit your website is frequently update your contents. Provide free information, better advice, consult them and so on. It’s depends on your market and products.
2. Traffic - Once you have sufficient quality contents, it’s now to drive traffic to your website. There are so many methods to drive traffic to your website, the best and free way is from organic traffic. Organic traffic likes Google (US), Yahoo (US), MSN (US) and Baidu (China). Besides, you can go for paid traffic like PPC (Pay Per Click) and Classified Ads such as USFreeAds.  These are the most common paid traffic techniques.
3. Split testing - This is very important in order to make money online. Split testing your website. If we are getting decent amount of traffic daily, we need to split test our website. The purpose of split testing is to maximize the throughput of a website. This is pretty advanced for newbie. Don’t worry, we need step by step…it is all about learning. The output from learning and knowledge gained is priceless!
